How do I install the extension?

Your subscription is tied to your BestSubtitle account — there are no license keys to copy around. Click "Connect account" in the panel, approve in the browser, and the extension activates. It works on up to 2 devices at once.

Yes — one subscription covers up to 2 devices (say, your desktop and your laptop). You can see connected devices and sign out old ones from your dashboard at any time.

What does silence auto-cut do?

Mark In and Out on your timeline, and the extension analyzes the audio in that range, finds the dead air, and ripple-deletes it — turning minutes of manual razor work into one click. Thresholds and padding are adjustable, and you can review cuts before applying.

How do word-level subtitles work?

The extension transcribes your selected range and places styled subtitle clips directly on your timeline, timed word by word. You can restyle fonts, colors, and position, and fix any word right inside Premiere afterwards — they're normal timeline items.

Which languages can it transcribe?

Transcription is powered by Whisper, which supports about 99 languages — including English and Turkish, which we test most heavily. Accuracy is best with clear speech; you can hand-correct any word after the subtitles land on the timeline.

Is my footage uploaded anywhere?

No. Silence analysis and transcription both run locally on your machine — your video and audio never leave your computer. The extension only contacts our servers to verify your subscription when you connect your account.

Question 12

How do I delete my account?

Accepted Answer

Dashboard → account settings → delete account. Your data is marked deleted immediately and permanently removed after a 30-day grace window (you can undo by signing back in within that window).
