Terms of Service

By accessing or using BestSubtitle (“Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

BestSubtitle is operated by BestSubtitle. Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy LLC (“Merchant of Record”), which acts as the seller of record for all purchases.

BestSubtitle is an AI-powered subtitle generation platform. The Service allows users to:

• Upload video and audio files for automated transcription and subtitle generation
• Edit and style generated subtitles in a browser-based editor
• Export subtitles in SRT, VTT, ASS formats or as MP4 with burned-in subtitles

You must create an account to use the Service. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account
• Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.

Credit system: The Service operates on a credit-based model where 1 credit equals 1 minute of video or audio processed. Credits are consumed when a processing job completes successfully. Failed jobs do not consume credits.

Free trial: New accounts receive 5 free credits (one-time, non-renewable). No credit card is required for the free trial.

Paid plans: Subscriptions renew automatically on a monthly or annual basis. Credits allocated to a billing cycle do not roll over to the next cycle.

Overage: When your monthly credit allocation is exhausted, additional processing may be available at the per-plan overage rate. Overage charges are billed at the end of the billing cycle.

All payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy LLC. By subscribing, you authorize Lemon Squeezy to charge your payment method on a recurring basis.

Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your billing dashboard or by contacting support. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You retain access to paid features until then.

Refunds: We offer refunds within 7 days of initial purchase if you have not processed more than 5 minutes of content. Contact support at support@bestsubtitle.com. Refunds are processed by Lemon Squeezy and may take 5–10 business days.

Prices are subject to change. We will provide at least 30 days notice before increasing prices for existing subscribers. Early-adopter pricing locked at signup is honored for the lifetime of the subscription.

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Upload content you do not have the rights to process
• Upload illegal, harmful, abusive, or defamatory content
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or circumvent any part of the Service
• Use the Service for any purpose that violates applicable law
• Share your account credentials or resell access to the Service
• Upload malware or attempt to compromise the Service's security

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without prior notice.

Your content: You retain all ownership rights to the videos, audio, and subtitle files you upload or generate using the Service. By uploading content, you grant BestSubtitle a limited, temporary license to process and store your files solely to provide the Service.

Our content: The BestSubtitle brand, software, algorithms, UI, and documentation are owned by BestSubtitle and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without written permission.

DMCA: If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, contact us at legal@bestsubtitle.com with a detailed DMCA notice.

Uploaded files (video and audio) are stored temporarily on Cloudflare R2 and are automatically deleted within 24 hours of upload or job completion, whichever comes first. Generated subtitle files (SRT, VTT, ASS) and output MP4 files are retained for the duration of the project in your dashboard.

You are responsible for downloading and saving your output files. We are not liable for any loss of data due to automatic deletion.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that:

• The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
• Transcription or subtitle results will be 100% accurate
• The Service will meet your specific requirements

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BestSubtitle and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkey. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Istanbul, Turkey.

For EU/EEA users: Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under applicable EU consumer protection law.

We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email or a prominent notice on the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
