Getting started with BestSubtitle for Premiere Pro

From signup to your first auto-cut timeline in about five minutes.

BestSubtitle is an Adobe Premiere Pro extension that cuts silences and adds word-level subtitles inside your timeline. Here is the fastest path from a fresh account to your first tightened cut.

1. Create an account at /signup and start your 3-day free trial (card upfront, $0 for 3 days, then $5/mo).

2. Go to your download page and grab the installer — a signed ZXP for Windows or a .dmg for macOS (Apple Silicon).

3. Windows: install the ZXP with a ZXP installer (e.g. aescripts ZXP Installer) and restart Premiere. macOS: open the .dmg and follow the steps. If macOS warns about an unidentified developer, right-click the installer and choose Open.

4. In Premiere Pro, open Window → Extensions → BestSubtitle. Click "Connect account" — your browser opens, you approve, and the panel activates. No license keys.

5. The first transcription downloads a speech model once (a few hundred MB); after that everything runs locally and offline-friendly.

That's it. Mark In and Out on a talky section of your timeline and hit Analyze to see the silence cuts it proposes.
